Rollout Plan
Overview
The multimedia eLearning PSMA course has been designed and developed to be delivered as part of the Established Radiographer Reporters training package, an eLearning solution to provide PET-CT reporters with 3+ years of experience further, specialised training in subject areas where there is a business need for education. The course is a self-paced, asynchronous course and consists of 4 modules, broken down into lessons which contain content in the form of text blocks, interactive activities, images, knowledge checks and case-based quiz scenarios. Design and development decisions were made to account for the 3 phases of rollout:
Pre-Planning involves deciding upon a platform where the education can be rolled out to:
· provide a seamless user learning experience and
· track learner activity and completion data that can be recorded and reported on
Rollout involves actions such as:
· deciding on and setting up the learning platform
· testing
· what staff and/or learner training may be needed
Post Rollout includes actions that include:
· information, training and support to staff and learners
· measuring engagement
Learning Management System (LMS)
The eLearning will be rolled out using a LearnDash LMS, a fully customisable WordPress plugin that is adaptable and flexible for the business needs. The LMS will sit on the PET-CT Academy website and provide easy all-in-one-place access to learning, information about the academy and booking system for face-to-face/virtual training. Designing our own platform gives us full control over what it looks like and how it operates. Features within the platform will include:
· Integrations (API interface): communication with other systems we use (e.g., CRM, Zoom, historical data migration)
· Scalability and availability: support of future growth, eCommerce solution for future
· Customisation: PET-CT Academy branding, customisable UX/UI
· Course organisation: learning pathways, personal learning recommendations, social learning capabilities
· Gating: make courses only available for sign up from specific email addresses (e.g., @nhs.net)
· Content creation: integration with eLearning authoring tools, easy to update content, blended learning
· Rewards: certification path, gamification
· Reporting and analytics: track learner performance, attendance tracking, export of data
· AI capabilities
Rollout roles
Managing Content
Content will be added as both SCORM files to the LMS and also using the built in course builder functionality to align with branding and a customised UI. The Seek/Sense/Share model will not be used as content is being migrated from an existing LMS where this process had already previously taken place.
Moderation and Community Management
eModeration is facilitating online collaboration, through the modelling, conveying and building of knowledge or skills. The Learning Developer/ID will support the academy’s Marketing & Events Coordinator in taking on the dual role of moderation and community management. As the cohort gets bigger, it is anticipated that an additional staffing resource will be needed.
Administration and Maintenance
Fixing all issues as they might appear and ensuring all operations are on track is the responsibility of the Academy’s LMS Administrator. They are also responsible for LMS training and support, teamwork and collaboration with team members.
